This is where the Ikon building was (see other photos for wrecking ball action shots). A new hotel and convention center is supposed to go here, with huge taxpayer funded chunks to help aid the billionaire private developer in building the hotel. Except, the billionaire private developer just bailed out or is having second thoughts, which is not surprising. So now the area is torn up and the future is uncertain.
